Our Team

Christina Dedora
Christina Dedora began her farming career while working on a farm in France. What had originally begun as a way to extend her visa and continue to learn the French language, this experience had become a passion that would shape her life going forward.
In 2006, she discovered Southside Community Land Trust’s program at Urban Edge Farm and Blue Skys Farm was created! Her favorite flowers are many and she constantly changes her mind about which one is the best: is it peony, lavender, dahlia, sweet pea, zinnia, cosmos? By the end of the day, she loves all of them!

Kendra Doe-Mode
Kendra came to farming in 2019 after working in the culinary industry. Her love of food, and its function as medicine, led her from working in restaurants to growing chemical-free vegetables in Johnston, RI as an apprentice through Southside Community Land Trust. She discovered the joy of growing flowers while on her first farm. After a few years of growing blooms on her own, she knew she wanted to learn more about the industry, explore using herbs for healing, and lean into creating bouquets full time. Her wish was granted and met Christina and Cheryl in 2021!
While Kendra may enjoy so many of the blooms and herbs at the farm (peonies, stock, dahlias, tulsi, st. john’s wort…), she really loves and appreciates all that Nature has to offer throughout every season of the year!

Cheryl Dedora-Pynn
Cheryl’s favorite crop to harvest is, you guessed it, Rosemary! Not only is it fantastic in bouquets, but it’s also delicious dried for our sister company Sanctuary Herbs of Providence.
Cheryl works behind the scenes mostly… mowing the lawn, weeding, irrigating, trash patrol and always admiring the nature on the farm, from barn swallows to snakes to geese flying overhead.
She keeps us amused, sane and entertained!

Kim Morin
Kim began farming in 2010, shortly after moving to Rhode Island. Previously she worked as a Registered Dietitian, an IT Professional and an Operations Manager at a motorcycle dealership. Working with Christina at Blue Skys Farm enabled her to learn the ins and outs of growing flowers. She appreciates the challenge of growing flowers locally without pesticides or chemicals.
Kim also enjoys raising backyard chickens, gardening with her husband and cooking fresh local produce.
